What we think of Classic Fashion Style

Updated: 7 days ago

The Classic Style Type in Fashion is safe, clean, and traditional. You know what works for you and you tend to stick with it. You value longevity over trends and most likely have established somewhat of a fashion uniform, a trusted look that is both timeless and flattering with a smart flair.

In the Classic Style Type’s wardrobe, you’ll mostly find neutral colors with the occasional pop of red or green. A white blouse or a crisp white shirt is a staple. Accessories are simple—a strand of pearls, diamond studs, but nothing ever over the top.

Some famous Classics include Katharine Hepburn, Grace Kelly, and Kate Middleton.

Often the excellent tailoring is the detail that grabs the eye. Exquisite quality, and perhaps a splash of red lipstick, to name just a few.

The classic woman, value is also incredibly important, as items are intended to be kept for long periods of time. Classic style is investment dressing at its best – and a classic woman isn’t afraid to spend money upfront on quality pieces for her wardrobe knowing that they will be reached for time and time again and last for years.

These women exude a quiet confidence, they feel no need to overtly announce their arrival with flashy over-the-top fashion trends. Understated simplicity is their angle, and draws the attention they deserve and they will undoubtedly get.

Now that you are thinking about your style and what will work best for you every day.

What you choose will come down to a variety of individual factors including:

Lifestyle

Job, and accompanying dress code

Season

Environment

Culture and Country

Body shape/proportions/variations (your physical self)

Physical or medical aspects that intrude on clothing choices

Coloring

Personal preferences (what you like or don’t like)

Psychological type – your Style Type

This is why we can’t specifically say “all, there are simply too many other, non-type factors, that come into the mix to make any kind of Style Type-based style expression statements of those kinds.
